Dem Verbrechen auf der Spur

“Die Nordreportage” accompanies two forensic technicians to crime scenes in Hamburg. The film shows what happens afterwards to the traces they collect, in the laboratories where they are analysed to put investigators, quite literally, on the trail of the offender. The methods of criminals and of crime scene investigators are becoming ever more sophisticated. From fingerprint analysis to examinations in climate and vapour chambers, it is often exactly these “hits” that lead investigators in the right direction. They are the only way to reconstruct what happened, or they serve as key evidence in court.

The film is in German.
